Typography

Intro

This is Gills Sans Nova. The most common typeface we use.

Gills Sans Nova is the primary typeface for Fairfax & Favor in their digital designs. A clean, recognisable and timeless typeface that reflects the qualities of the brand.

We use 3 weights, depending on context/placement. These are 200 (light), 400 (regular) and 600 (bold).

Didot is our supporting font.

The complimentary Serif to our Sans-Serif primary typeface. Juliet to her Romeo - they look great together and act to stand out when things get fancy.

We use one weight (regular/400) and one style (italic).

Below are the standard rules to follow. The exceptions or variations will be listed in the subsequent section.

EXAMPLE & CASE FONT SIZES WEIGHT & SPACING
HEADING ONE 28px / 20px 400 / 2px
HEADING TWO 21px / 15px 400 / 1px
HEADING THREE 15px / 13px 400 / 1px

Variations

While the above is a more uniform guide - there are exceptions or variations. Two examples are shown below for text overlaying a hero image.

The first example below uses the secondary typeface of Didot.

Valentine's Day

For summer or fun events, we may use Playlist Script. This would be used in Hero or large font size as a feature.
